Chief Remote Pilot
Brock Giumelli, nominated Chief Remote Pilot on the certificate (CASA Form 101-04 approval). The accountable position for the operation: operations manual, standing procedures, airspace authorisations and per-flight risk assessment.

Mine and quarry sites
On a Queensland coal mine or quarry the site's safety and health management system governs. We work inside it, under the site senior executive's authority, with the SWMS aligned to it.

Instruments

Aircraft — DJI Mini 4 Pro

Sub-250 g multi-rotor with a 48 MP camera and 4K/60 video, flown for the roof, elevation and site sets. GNSS position and capture time written into every frame at capture (non-RTK). The aircraft flown on each job is named on that job's SWMS and in the report's attendance record.

Aircraft — DJI Phantom 4 Standard

Second airframe, carried as the backup platform and for orthomosaic runs where a job needs a site plan. Same numbering, same metadata discipline as the primary aircraft.

Ground and handheld — DJI Osmo Action

Ground-level and handheld stills and video with the same index numbering as the aerial frames — elevations, interiors, attendance and walk-through footage. Capture time recorded at capture; position taken from the paired aerial frame or logged on the media index.

Processing

Orthomosaics and elevation models produced in photogrammetry software where a job needs a site plan. Originals are never overwritten; report images are crops or annotations of the originals.

Not held — stated plainly

Thermal and moisture instruments

No thermal aircraft is operated and no aerial thermal is offered. Handheld thermal and moisture surveys are quoted subject to instrument availability; the instrument used on a job is named on that job's SWMS and in the report's attendance record.

Thermography certification

Level 1 thermography certification is not held and is not claimed. Thermal surveys are delivered as documented observation with radiometric capture and the conditions stated. If your process requires a certified thermographer, say so at enquiry and we will tell you straight whether we can meet it.

How we fly

Under the ReOC

CASR Part 101. Every flight is planned, risk-assessed and logged under the operations manual. Airspace checked before every flight; controlled-airspace and other authorisations obtained where required, and the job waits if they are not.

Standard operating conditions

Below 120 m above ground, within visual line of sight, in daylight, clear of uninvolved people and never over them. Anything outside those conditions is flown only under a specific approval, which is recorded in the attendance record.

People and privacy

Property and damage only. No filming of people, no covert capture, ever. Occupants and neighbours are told what is being flown and why. Imagery is used for the instructed purpose and held under the engagement terms.

Cairns to Gladstone, by road

Coverage

Based at Mission Beach, between Innisfail and Cardwell. Travel is included within 100 km — Cairns to Ingham and the Tablelands — and priced by distance band beyond that. Own vehicles, no airfares, no hire cars, no half-day of travel billed at professional rates.

After a declared event the highway may be cut. Mission Beach is inside the corridor, so the question is which side of the cut the job is on, not whether the airport is open.
